Ethiopia June 2018

Friday, June 15, 2018 to Sunday, June 24, 2018

For those would like to go to Africa but cannot afford two weeks off of work, this "quick" trip is for you! Team members will spend the majority of their time in Ethiopia and will head to Uganda for just a couple of days at the tail end of the trip before heading home. In Ethiopia we will spend most of our time on the ground visiting Korah, the trash dump featured in the film, "Man Up and Go." In addition to loving on the kiddos and visiting some dear pastor and ministry friends, we'll also spend time encouraging both the men and the women in Korah in Jesus' name. Then then whole team will fly to Uganda and experience one of the core programs Man Up supports - the Super Saturday Feeding Program, where as many as 1000 kids will be fed and hear the Gospel. You will then head back home, completely tired but brimming with energy from what you experienced.

Qualifications: Trip participants must agree and adhere to Man Up and Go initiatives, policies, and procedures at all time. Most importantly, you must agree with Man Up and Go's Purpose Statement: To fight for the fatherless at home and abroad as Jesus commanded.

Friday, June 15, 2018 to Thursday, June 28, 2018

We are very excited about this trip in July 2018 - we're going to head to Ethiopia and to Uganda on the same trip! We have not done this kind of trip since 2012, but as we're solidifying relationships in Ethiopia who are making a real difference in the the fight for the fatherless, we feel now is the time to hit both countries at the same time. We'll start our journey in Ethiopia and spend a few days on the ground visiting Korah, the trash dump featured in the film, "Man Up and Go." In addition to playing with some kiddos and visiting some dear pastor and ministry friends, we'll also spend time encouraging both the men and the women in Korah in Jesus' name. Then then whole team will fly to Uganda and experience one of the core programs Man Up supports - the Super Saturday Feeding Program, where as many as 1000 kids will be fed and hear the Gospel. The "Ethiopia-only" crew will then head back home. The members staying for the entire trip will then get to see three different ministries Man Up supports. The gals will conduct Woman Up conferences with the ladies, and the guys will be talking authentic masculinity with the fellas. All of this in addition to loving big on the kiddos. It's going to be an action-packed two weeks and we can't wait to get there!

Kenya December 2018

Saturday, December 1, 2018 to Monday, December 10, 2018

Man Up and Go has an excellent relationship with the folks at Teens for Christ in Kenya, and have been invited to conduct their annual December conference. Teens for Christ has access to students in the public schools, having influence over 200,000 teens over the course of a year. This opportunity to unapologetically proclaim the Gospel in a public school setting is something we could never do in the U.S. We are looking for a small team of men and women skilled and gifted in leading and teaching to help us conduct the conference. We believe that discipling these young men and women at the conference will help mitigate the number of fatherless both by preventing future orphans and cultivating hearts to care for current ones.

Qualifications: Trip participants must agree and adhere to Man Up and Go initiatives, policies, and procedures at all time. Most importantly, you must agree with Man Up and Go's Purpose Statement: To fight for the fatherless at home and abroad as Jesus commanded.

Climbing Kili for the Kids (Feb 2019)

Wednesday, February 13, 2019 to Wednesday, February 27, 2019

We are ecstatic to conduct our first ever Man Up and Go Adventure Trip to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, East Africa! This promises to be the trip of a lifetime for those who want to live out the abundant life Jesus talked about in John 10 alongside Man Up and Go in February of 2019. This trip is being billed as an "Executive" trip, but anyone who wants to raise the needed funds may participate. We will first travel to Tanzania to take on the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, at 19,341 feet. Our theme for this Adventure Trip is "A Father for Every Child." We're climbing to raise funds and awareness for the fatherless, and will document our trip along the way. After our summit on Kilimanjaro, we will then hop on a plane to Uganda and spend several days visiting all of our projects there. From schools for the children, to the feeding program, to men's leadership, to vocational training for women, to the health clinic, and so much more, trip participants will see exactly why they're raising funds. The average age in Uganda is just 15 years old, and 80% of these do not have a committed, engaged father in the house. On our way out of the country we will take a full day to take on the Nile River and its Class 5 rapids. Climbing Kilimanjaro and rafting the Nile are merely symbolic of our determination to fight for the fatherless and take out fatherlessness altogether. We believe children benefit in every way by the presence of a loving, committed father in the home. As such, we truly do want to see A Father for Every Child.

Qualifications: Trip participants must agree and adhere to Man Up and Go initiatives, policies, and procedures at all time. Most importantly, you must agree with Man Up and Go's Purpose Statement: To fight for the fatherless at home and abroad as Jesus commanded.
